Special Concerts and Events

OUR NEXT EVENT! - CONCERT FOR THE MUSIC FUND - SUNDAY, JANUARY 29, 5:30 p.m.   Laura Falzon, flute and Dr. Brian Schober, organ.  Works by Bach, Hartman, Rorem, Rutter, and Schober.  Wine & cheese reception follows.  A free-will offering at the door supports our arts and music programs.  Laura Falzon has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and in the U.S. in many venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, and the 92nd Street Y.  

CANDLELIGHT AND CAROLS - The congregation sang the first carols of Christmas by candlelight. Featuring the Choir and Soloists singing special anthems, conducted by Dr. Brian Schober, Music Director.  Always on the 3rd Sunday of Advent - this year on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11 at 5:30 pm.  Free.

BENEFIT CONCERTS - We normally hold at least two concerts or recitals each year to benefit community ministry.  On December 18 at 5:30 p.m. we held our latest benefit event - piano and wind quintets by Mozart and von Herzogenborg in the church.  This concert raised close to $1,200 for Episcopal Relief & Development's work with Ukrainian refugees.  Our last concert benefited Center for Food Action.

EVENSONG - This beautiful service of traditional sung Evening Prayer begins in semi-darkness with the lighting of candles, and feature the Choir under the direction of Music Director and Organist, Dr. Brian Schober. Held periodically over the course of the year; we just held our lovely Choral Evensong-Celtic Mediations on OCTOBER 23.

LENTEN MEDITATIONS –Beautiful music and selected readings for the season on a Sunday afternoon.  Free will offering only.  2023 to be announced
