You're Invited . . .

Atonement is a Christian community, where you can explore the questions about life and its meanings that are closest to your heart. Through participating in a community like ours, you can discover more about yourself, your spiritual journey, and about God’s  great love for you, found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  At Atonement, we share the love of Jesus Christ with each other, our communities,  and the world.

We believe that God is at work in our hearts and in our minds, in our families, and in our neighbors and in strangers.  We believe that God is at work in you, too.

Visit with us in worship, or at one of our arts and music or fellowship events, or join us in an outreach project.    Wherever or whenever you visit, there are opportunities for learning, sharing and growing for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Atonement offers Discovery Nights for seekers, newcomers and current members who want to share how they’ve experienced God in their lives, and discuss what it means to be on the Christian spiritual journey.  They are held from October to June on one Tuesday each month (usually the first Tuesday) at 7:15 pm and include supper.  Learn with us at Bible study or in one of our quiet days.  Or just use our Chapel, which is open 24/7, for private prayer or reflection. There are many other programs for adult education and spiritual growth throughout the week. All are welcome.  (Visit our Spiritual Growth and Education page.)

For young people on Sunday mornings, we have a playroom/nursery for our youngest members, Church School & Music for K-5th, and 6th-9th classes with preparation for Confirmation in the 9th, and an afternoon youth group for all teens.  (See our Kids, Youth and Families page).

We’re located about two miles off Exit One or Two of the Palisades Parkway, just up from the George Washington Bridge. Although we enjoy the ‘feel’ of a community church, people from 16 towns around Bergen County make Atonement their spiritual home.  We invite you to visit us and find out more.

If there’s any way we can make you more at home, if you would like a visit or a phone call or a prayer, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know - click on “Contact us”.  Or, you can email the Rector directly at: rector@atonement-tenafly.org.
