ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL 2023

We are pleased to return to our annual one-week festival, after a hiatus during COVID. Please join us!

The highlight of the festival will be a Gala Art Show Opening with a wine and cheese reception. The opening will be followed by a series of evening offerings- including a cabaret with a variety of performers, an open mic poetry night, and a classical concert to close out the week. All events are open to the public. The performances require tickets and reservations; other events are free. All proceeds support the Church’s Arts and Music fund.

Schedule

May 17 - 6:00 - 8:00 pm Community Art Exhibit Opening,  "Meet the Artists" Wine & Cheese Reception

 

May 19 – 7:30 – 9:00 pm Cabaret Night featuring kids’ improv group, Coffee and Dessert. Seating is limited: Reservations are required. Tickets: $10/person; no charge for children 15 and under. Contact the church for reservations and tickets.

 

May 21 - 10:00 am Arts & Music Sunday featuring soloists performing in the service, followed by Coffee Hour in the Art Exhibit, and an afternoon Newcomers’ Reception at a parishioner's home. This event is free and open to all.

 

May 23 - 7:30-9:00 pm Poetry Night, Wine & Cheese Reception. 

May 24 –  7:30 pm Northwest Winds quartet performs light classical works, Wine & Cheese Reception Tickets: $20/person; $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased through the Church office or at the door. 

Our Arts & Music Team coordinates the festival, as well as other music events and receptions.  Co-chairs Chris Schlegel and Simba Nyambauro work alongside Bob Gray, Bob LeClair and Ellen Kuhn, Hilary Hancock, Denise Pierce, Wilson Reimers, and Carol Petrovich - and with our music director Dr. Brian Schober, of course!  Lynne Weber, Lorraine Sorvino, and Molly Frederick chair the Poetry Night, and many others help out.
